It's women's history month! I would encourage you to take a look at the collection below, and explore some of the women who have paved the way for us today. Most of these women are visual artists, however their are a few women featured that contributed to the freedom and rights of women in other ways worth noting.
YAYOI KUSAMA
Kusama is a Japanese contemporary artist, born in 1929, who primarily works in installations. Her Dots Obsession and Infinity Mirror Room are just a few of her world famous works. She has become an advocate for mental health. She has spent the last four decades in a psychiatric hospital, disappearing from the art scene.
