STEP 2: Gyotaku (Gee-You-Tak-Oo) Based on the ancient Japanese art called Gyotaku, you will create a fish block print. Don't worry, we will not be inking an actual fish. We will ink your carving of a fish! Feel free to stylize your design, but you must show as much detail/texture/value as possible. Your linoblock will be 4x6 inches. You will make a minimum of 3 final prints. All carvings must be ready for print on your designated Print Day. - TUTORIALS -

As a class, we will learn various rendering methods before you add value to your object.
